Co-founders Josh and Sam Felker have called central Alberta home since 2007 and recently started their family. They were looking for ways to spend more time with their growing family and with Sam's experience in the veterinary world, the idea for Meadowbrook Pet Cremation arose. They are excited to bring this new venture to life and are look forward to pairing with local artists and working with veterinary practices and clients to bring a new crematory option to central Alberta.

*Exciting update*: in March of 2023, we updated our cremation system to a new "aquamation" machine. This is a very environmentally friendly option for after life care; it is a combination of alkalinity, warm water and time to gently breakdown organic material. The water by-product can be used for fertilizer or put through a waste water management facility and returned into the water cycle without risk of harmful contaminants. We are very excited about this technology as we feel that this is the future of environmentally friendly after life care. Feel free to look through the company's website about the process as well as their FAQs; don't hesitate to reach out to us as well if you have any questions you would like us to answer.

Sam is also a veterinarian who is proud to be able to offer in home euthanasia options to clients in central Alberta. Please seek her out on Facebook at Meadowbrook Veterinary Services.
